Love BackUp - hate the launch pad BackUp works well - and I like it. One improvement would be to rework how folders/files are selected for back up - I found that cumbersome. You should look at selecting which files to include from a checkbox list like a shopping list - that stays open until the selections are all complete (ie - multiple folders under My Documents - I don't want to backup - but I have to select the ones I do want as individual selections - which takes a long time.My bigger beef is with the Launch Pad - how do I unload ...

Free and Easy Easy to setup and pleased with results so far. Not all functions have been used but it has delivered what I needed. It is a quick and easy way to make my own backup of data from the network to my external hard drive

Did not like products inability to uninstall properly. Had to go back using restore point.Using windows 7

They don't tell you that you need admin rights on any computer you are going to use your locked folder on - or alternatively that you need to pursuade your network administrator to allow the folder lock 'driver' - and I mean driver not software programme - to be installed on an individual computer prior to being able to access the locked folder on any computer.I now have a licensed copy of Folder Lock which I can't use because my network administrator won't play ball. Your folder lock seems to be good. But I am afraid of using it for the reason sometime back I was using another folder lock downloaded from CNET free download. After using it for sometime it would not open and release my documents. It did not open at all and I lost files around 30 GB. Will your folder lock behave like this?KAUSIK

On thing which bother me is the lack of a very easy interface, or no tool to do this... so, for very novice PC user, we can hide all the options, buttons, and leave all these struggle to the administrator. CPU Usage & Deleted files When i downloaded Powerfolder for the first time i really found it a great product, because it keeps two PC's over a LAN/WAN completely in sync. However since a week or two ago, i upgraded to the recently released version 2.0.0 and now i have a big problem that almost immediatly when Powerfolder starting at both machines on both machines the CPU usage by Powerfolder goes to over 95%. This is not making me happy as you probably will expect, because it dramatically slows down both PC's. Is this a known issue, or am i the first person reporting it. If ...
